E-Squared
About the program
E-Squared is Career Partners’ signature program, celebrating more than 15 years of inspiring entrepreneurial thinking in Culpeper County. This semester-long business competition challenges teams of high school students to develop a new business concept. Students are randomly placed in groups and paired with local business coaches who provide mentorship, lead workshops, and guide them through creating a business plan.
At the end of the semester, teams present their ideas to a panel of judges in a high-energy competition modeled after real-world investment pitches. The winning team members each receive a $10,000 scholarship, funded by generous community sponsors.
Beyond the competition, E-Squared equips students with skills in teamwork, public speaking, business planning, meeting deadlines, and critical thinking. The program involves dozens of local business leaders as coaches, judges, and presenters—creating a unique, community-driven learning experience that pushes students to work harder, think bigger, and prepare for their futures.
