Mentoring Program is launched as a pilot at CTEC

Mentoring program is launched as a pilot program for CTEC Culinary program students. Based on the High Quality Work Based Learning model, students spend 140 hours of one-on-one mentoring time with a local business professional in order to learn several professional skills.

Spark Adventure Care wins 2022 E Squared competition

William Spiller, Kris Patel, Jack Flemming, Bryce Cliette, and Morgan Jenkins of EVHS take home the prize for Spark Adventure Care, a new take on childcare and development center. Scholarships for winning the competition rise from $5,000 to $10,000 per student on the winning team.

FizzSafe wins 2021 E Squared competition

Madison Callahan, Meagan Fay, Oscar Munoz, Jayla Ford, and Michelle Balderrama of CCHS, along with coaches Raygan Ketterer and Christina Kearney, win with their product idea called FizzSafe, which is a tablet designed to detect drugs in a person’s drink to prevent date rape and assault.

Career Partners Programming Continues During COVID-19 Pandemic

Despite the challenges presented by a global pandemic, Career Partners’ mission has continued to advance in 2020. Our Programs Committee has did an amazing job adapting to a hybrid learning structure. We successfully completed 700+ virtual Mock Interviews, operated the E Squared competition,  and held a Healthcare Industry Career Exploration event – ALL VIRTUALLY!

Saif Mohsin, Preston Yoder, Osmond Reindorf-Malm, and Katherina Wilkins from CCHS win with their product Tree Hugger, an accessory designed to attach to trees and other column shaped structures that make it easier to use ladders.

2018 Winning E Squared Team “Secure & Safe” from Culpeper County High School are Armani Hoffman, Madde Ryckman, Jessica Janiszewski, and Ryan Eakins. Product idea was a new-aged security scanner that combines a millimeter wave scanner, metal detector and a display screen.

Entrepreneurial Energy (E Squared) program is created. $5,000 college scholarships awarded to each E Squared winning team member annually.

Career Partners accelerates fund raising efforts by forming long-term partnerships with local businesses and individual donors – most are still in place today.
