Career Partners’ approach to career exploration has continued to evolve over the years, creating new opportunities to connect students with local businesses and meaningful workplace experiences.
In 2024 and 2025, Career Partners partnered with Culpeper County Public Schools and local businesses to offer the English Language Learning Externship Program. The program provided participating students with an opportunity to gain firsthand workplace experience through externships with businesses throughout Culpeper County.
Participating businesses included 101 Latino Multiservice, Cedar Mountain Stone & Chemung Construction, Collector’s Den, and 4C’s Restaurant. By welcoming students into their workplaces, these businesses gave participants an opportunity to learn directly from local professionals, experience day-to-day operations, and gain greater exposure to professional environments.
Like the apprenticeships, job shadowing, and mentorship opportunities that came before it, the ELL Externship Program reflected Career Partners’ commitment to creating meaningful connections between students and the local workforce. Although offered for a limited time, the program represents another chapter in Career Partners’ history of adapting career exploration opportunities to meet the needs of Culpeper County students.
Career Partners is grateful to each of the participating businesses for investing their time in students and helping make these workplace experiences possible.
